Romans 9 - Jews and Gentiles

For many years, Calvinist have used parts of Romans 9 (Jacob and Esau) to justify their belief in predestination.  However, it seems that the whole chapter 9 is dealing with God identifying the true seed of Abraham who is Christ and those who believe in him.  Thus, all of the examples given by Paul is an explanation to why those who are physical descendants of Abraham (the jews) are not the seed, but the believers of Christ (be they jew or gentile).   If you take the example of Esau and Jacob as a part in the whole of Chapter 9, then one can see that God predestined based on mercy the second - or New covenant believers and not the 1st or old covenant believers. 

Kept the Att line

On 2.13.17, I bought a cheap virgin phone - 23.98 because the kids were using all of the data - 25 G.  Well I called today to cancel the line and Att (in order to keep up with the other companies) now has an unlimited plan that was cheaper with than 25 G  plan.  So now we have unlimited on all lines and it is cheaper.  When you unlimited it is so much easier because you don't have to worry about no having data or being charged more 💰.

Random thoughts - Saturday before Isabel's Birthday

Today is the Saturday before Isabel's birthday (on Monday).  Due to us being so busy during the week, we went out and ate at Outback. The time we spent together was fine, but the quality of Outback's food has gone down (at least in my opinion).  Afterwards, we went to the Power Rangers movie.  The movie was entertaining enough for the kids.  However, I am disturbed by the liberal anti moral agenda.  They actually had one of the girl power ranger subtle come out in the movie.  I have noticed a growing trend in that they always put those types  of issues right in the viewer's life.
    I have read today Romans 7 and one day of NLT - part of Samson.  I also read a few pages of Jay Segert Creation v Evolution.  I ordered the new version of One Minute Manager.
